The Five Sides of Civil War

The Five Factions of the Mobius Civil War that ravages Inmate#4065's world.

Each faction listed clockwise starting from top left:

Dr. Eggman and the Eggman Empire -- Following his crushing defeat at the hands of the formerly united Mobian forces at the Second Battle of Mobotropolis, and the desertion of the Dark Legion, Dr. Eggman finally begins to go out, rebuilding his mechanical forces and entrenching himself inside of his Egg-Dome. The Doctor currently sits as the second weakest faction of the war, focusing more on rebuilding the mighty Egg Fleet than attack any of the other factions, though raids and assaults ARE made.

Sonic the Hedgehog and the Kingdom of Acorn -- After ascending to the throne by taking his lover, Sally Acorn, as his wife, King Sonic, finally tired of the egg shaped scientist being a threat, begins a massive, ruthless campaign across Mobius, razing any Eggman facility found by his forces.In order to fuel his search, King Sonic began to ruthlessly tax his people, using the money to build his own private army in addition to to his friend, General Miles Prower's forces. After following false information (provided by a disguised Dr. Finitevus) and razing four innocent villages under the suspicion that they were Eggman supporters, Sonic, not used to all of the backlash, falls back to his fortress to prepare for the inevitable rebellion he unintentionally caused. This act would cause the civil war that ravages the planet.

Vash the Hawk/Swallow and the Babylon Raiders -- Following the destruction of four innocent villages, Vash, son of the retired Jet and Wave, begins his career as a treasure thief. Breaking away from his parent's peaceful views, Vash formed a gang of other thieves, bandits, and unsuspecting citizens recruiting any and all they could with the promise of ending the "tyrannical" King's regime, riches, and power. Following the massive growth of his army of raiders, Vash began a new wave of terror throughout Mobius, killing all in their way and stealing everything they can carry, all to fund their "righteous rebellion" The Raiders are currently the weakest faction of the war.

Grandmaster Finitevus and the Dark Brotherhood -- After recruiting the echidna Dark Legion after their desertion from the Eggman Empire, Finitevus began scheming. The Echidna doctor, following the Second Battle of Mobotropolis, had decided that if he wanted to gain any sort of control of Mobius, he would let the Sonic and Eggman destroy each other before swooping in and stealing the spoils of war. His first act of the war was to disguise himself as an escaped prisoner and "inform" the good King Sonic of the four roboticization facilities (in actuality they were nothing but villages) hidden in a nearby valley. Following the infamous "Valley Massacre" and the beginning of the civil war, Finitevus began to act, using the fear and anger of Sonic's attack to call his echidna brethren under his banner to fight King Sonic's "murderous forces". Even Knuckles, shaken by his old friend's sudden attack, agreed and joined Finitevus. Months after forming his Dark Brotherhood, Finitevus finally began his campaign, taking the Sandopolis deserts and parts of the Great Forest under his control from his new fortress on Angel Island.

In the center of it all:

Inmate#4065 and the Sakai Rebels -- Realizing the great opportunity the war offered, Inmate#4065 and his fellow prison escapees formed a skilled mercenary group with the ivory former inmate at the helm. With each mission for each faction, their profits grew and grew. During one infiltration mission, the Inmate had rescued a captive ninja who, after revealing he was a grandmaster of an illusive hedgehog clan, offered his and his clan's loyalty to the ivory merc. With the addition of the Sakai ninja, and the christening of the name, the Sakai Rebels, Inmate#4065 and his new found friend, "Ghost", continue their mercenary career, fighting for whichever faction pays the most money.
